Matthew Zender of AmTrust North America, who has served on the executive committee of the California Workers’ Compensation Institute since 2018, has been reelected to serve another one-year term as chairman of the CWCI’s board of directors.
Joining Zender on CWCI’s 2021 executive committee will be Sharon Thaler of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½, who will serve as vice chair of the board; Eric Belk, Travelers; Martin Brady of Schools Insurance Authority, an associate member; Eric Hansen, Preferred Employers Insurance; Kris Mathis, CopperPoint Insurance Companies; and Vernon Steiner, State Compensation Insurance Fund.
Also elected to CWCI’s 2021 board of directors were Paul Ziegler, Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty; Tom McClure, AXA/XL; Russ Selinger, Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies; Mary Beth Pittinger, Chubb Ltd.; Dave McGowan, CompWest Insurance; Dwight Robertson, M.D., Employers Insurance Group; Joseph Wells, Everest Insurance; Carolyn Turpin, Liberty Mutual Insurance; Justin Smith, North American Casualty Company; Scott Lange, Sentry; Carmen Sharp, The Hanover Insurance Group; Michael Cunningham, Zenith Insurance Company; and Kevin Confetti, University of California, an associate member.
The CWCI is a private, nonprofit association. CWCI members include 26 insurer groups, as well as 33 of the largest public and private self-insured employers in the state.
