A magnitude 3.4 earthquake hit Carson, Calif. early Thursday, but no damage was reported.
The quake was widely felt from downtown Los Angeles to Long Beach. It hit at 7:01 a.m. at a depth of 9.1 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
According to a report in the L.A. Times, Metro officials delayed train service while crews inspected tracks for damage and full service was resumed about 7:35 a.m. with no damage reported.
