FirstComp, a division of Markel Service, Inc., has launched a new small business owner policy, FirstComp EssentialBOP, for FirstComp-appointed independent agents writing business in Hawaii. The BOP product is also available in Arkansas, California, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah, and Vermont. FirstComp EssentialBOP provides coverage for typical risks that small businesses face and can be customized for each small business policyholder.
According to Trent Cooksley, director of strategy and marketing at FirstComp, the company has also improved the purchasing experience so a customer can now bundle small business owner and workers’ compensation policies.
The EssentialBOP product will be available to quote for FirstComp-appointed independent agents writing business in Hawaii for policies effective June 1, 2014.
