Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Sunderland Insurance Services Inc. in Walnut Creek, Calif.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sunderland is a managing general underwriter that provides excess and surplus hired and non-owned auto, liability and umbrella insurance products and services to their wholesale broker clients throughout the United States.
The firm will continue to use its current wholesale distribution system. The firm also specializes in mono-line coverage for companies with food delivery services. Holly Belknap and her associates will operate from their current location under the direction of Joel Cavaness, president of Risk Placement Services Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
Arthur J. Gallagher is based in Itasca, Ill. and operates around the world through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
