Heffernan Insurance Brokers has hired Eric Schroeder as senior vice president of its Orange, Calif. office.
Schroeder will be responsible for producing new business in Southern California. He joins Heffernan after 11 years as senior vice president at another brokerage. He began his career in insurance as a producer with a small Orange County insurance brokerage firm after stint in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Heffernan offers a line of property, liability, group medical insurance, personal insurance and financial services.
