San Francisco-based Heffernan Insurance Brokers announced that Julie Davis has joined its San Francisco team as a vice president specializing in the technology industry sector and product specialization in network risk, security and privacy liability.
Davis has 25 years of insurance and risk management experience and has been at the forefront of developing programs to help technology firms manage their risks. For the past 17 years Davis has served as executive vice president for Aon Risk Services’ Technology Practice, where she created and led its National Practice for Emerging Technology and Life Science firms.
Davis’s industry accolades include Annual Women in Insurance Leadership Award, sponsored by Insurance Networking News Magazine, Chicago; Chicago Innovation Awards, sponsored by Kuczmarski & Associates, Microsoft, Deloitte and Chicago Sun Times; and Insurance Innovators Award, sponsored by Insurance and Technology Magazine.
She is also the founder of a nonprofit, RiskCommunities, and she established the TechRisk Institute, aimed at helping technology firms better manage new risks on the horizon.
