will begin providing automobile insurance coverage in Arizona and Nevada this month, the company announced. The Universal family of insurance companies already provides homeowners insurance and other coverages to more than 140,000 residents in six states, including Arizona and Nevada.
According to Petra Charbonneau, vice president of expansion operations, the launch of automobile coverage is a way to help Arizona and Nevada residents maximize their insurance. In Arizona and Nevada, Universal North America now provides automobile and homeowners coverage, as well as flood insurance and home equipment protection, which covers mechanical breakdown for items such as air conditioning systems, telephone and security systems and swimming pool equipment.
Universal North America is a subsidiary of Universal Group Inc. and an affiliate of Universal Insurance Co.
