Encompass Insurance’s has introduced Encompass Edge, designed to provide Washington customers with a product that combines accident forgiveness and discounts.

According to the company, the program offers:
•An enhanced auto accident forgiveness waiver that will help consumers keep their rates from going up just because of an accident;
•A pricing model with more than 1,000 price points, for a more precise price to auto and homeowners insurance;
•Discounts that can be combined, including:
–Good Payer” discount – Customers automatically receive a 5 percent “good payer” discount. If, however, they receive a cancellation notice during the policy year, they will lose this discount when they renew the policy.
–New car discount – A 3 percent to 10 percent discount on vehicles purchased new by the insured in the past three years that have not been previously titled. This document fades out and is eliminated after three years of ownership.
–Homeownership discount – A 5 percent discount is available if a named insured or his/her spouse owns a home, condo, townhouse or mobile home. The owner does not have to live in the property.
–Future Effective Date discount – Customers qualify for a 5 percent discount if their Encompass policy is issued more than 7 days before its effective date. This discount stays with the policy when it is renewed.
