The healthcare industry continues to be one of the fastest growing segments of new businesses in the U.S. with expenditures representing over 20 percent of today’s gross national profit. The seminar, which is sponsored by WSS and Shand Morahan, is aimed at giving agents a distinct advantage in this fast growing marketplace.
The speaker is Fran O’Connell, vice president of healthcare business development at Shand Morahan. O’Connell holds RN and MBA Degrees from Northwestern University and has more than 20 years of insurance experience. She has authored articles appearing in several trade magazines and is a frequent speaker at broker groups around the country.
Topics include: professional liability policy types and coverages available today; evaluating the exposures of heathcare clients; emerging issues in the healthcare industry; admitted carrier vs. excess & surplus carrier; and healthcare-related growth areas for agencies.
