R. Scott Daugherty, chairman and CEO of USI Northern California, announced that Kevin Mencarelli had been promoted to president and COO of USI Northern California.

Mencarelli joined USI Northern California in November 1998 as the executive vice president of operations and most recently held the position of COO. He has more than 11 years of management experience and, in addition to his current responsibilities as COO, he will assume the responsibilities of president, including taking a larger leadership role in the production of new business, sales management and continued implementation of USI’s acquisition strategy in Northern California.

Mencarelli joined Daugherty & Company from Innovus Integrated Benefit Services, where he was a regional sales manager. Prior to that, Mencarelli worked with Combined Benefits as a marketing/underwriting manager. Prior to Combined Benefits, he was a program director/account executive with Capax Management Services.
