Volunteers from the Los Angeles Chapter of the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society) will be assisting the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank in its efforts to mobilize the community to fight hunger.
On Oct. 14, 2000, the volunteers will spend the morning examining and sorting food at 1701 E. 41st Place in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, an America’s Second Harvest Foodbank, is a private, non-profit, charitable organization with a network of more than 940 charities. Every week, the foodbank feeds approximately 180,000 people in Los Angeles County.
