The Motor Carrier Insurance Education Foundation (MCIEF), a nonprofit that educates insurance professionals serving the transportation industry, has named Dave Heller as a Thomas Ruke Fellow.
The fellowship honors the most dedicated educators and provides lifetime rights to all foundation activities, the Fort Myers, Florida-based group said.

Heller, who is the senior vice president of safety and government affairs for the Truckload Carriers Association, was named at the foundation’s 2023 Western Conference in July. Dave is responsible for communicating information about trucking-related regulations to the TCA membership and congressional representatives.
The fellowship is named after Thomas Ruke, founder of MCIEF. The group was formed in 2012 and provides continuing education and other services for insurance professionals.
