Forecasters are warning of rising river levels near the South Carolina coast.
The National Weather Service said a flood warning is still in effect for the Santee River near Jamestown in Berkeley County. At 6 p.m. Sunday the river was at 18.5 feet. Flooding begins at 10 feet. The river is expected to reach 19.6 feet by Thursday.
A flood warning continues for the Edisto River near Givhans Ferry in Dorchester County. Forecasters said the river was 11.5 feet Sunday night. Flooding begins at 10 feet. The river is expected to drop.
There is also flooding along the Savannah River at Burtons Ferry in Allendale County. The water was at 16.4 feet Sunday night. Flooding begins at 15 feet. The river is expected to drop below flood stage by Wednesday.
