James E. Emig has joined IFG Companies as director of its Bind Property unit, where he will be responsible for property and package business across the United States. Emig will be based in IFG’s Atlanta office.
He joins IFG Companies after more than a decade with ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½, where he held a number of zone executive, regional manager and senior underwriting positions, principally in property product lines. Before working at ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½, Emig worked in property underwriting at Allianz Insurance Co., Genesis Underwriting Management, The Home Insurance Co. and Hudson Insurance Co., according to the announcement.
IFG provides property/casualty insurance on both a non-admitted basis and an admitted basis. Coverages are underwritten by IFG’s affiliated insurers: The Burlington Insurance Co., First Financial Insurance Co., Alamance Insurance Co. and Guilford Insurance Co.
