Owners of South Carolina rental properties have the option of insuring their residences through Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp. beginning July 14. The coverage is available for rental residence or an owner-occupied home.
Optional personal liability coverage and the ability to cover up to $500,000 in dwelling value are among the options available under Lighthouse Dwelling Fire (DP3) policies for residential policyholders. Customers may also select other optional coverages such as personal property replacement cost, water back up and sump overflow, earthquake and equipment breakdown. In addition, discount options are available under the program.
The Lighthouse product expansion will enable Lighthouse agents to write an array of personal property risks including an accompanying flood policy through Lighthouse’s recently launched flood insurance program.
Lighthouse is an admitted and domiciled Louisiana property/casualty insurance company, headquartered in Orlando, Fla. Lighthouse products include homeowners’, flood and dwelling fire insurance policies that are sold through insurance agents. Lighthouse is also admitted and authorized to write in South Carolina and North Carolina.
