Drivers in Alabama insured through State Farm will be paying slightly less for coverage beginning next month.
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. announced it would reduce its Alabama auto insurance rates by a statewide average two percent. The new rates take effect Nov. 21.
The Bloomington, Illinois-based State Farm is the largest automobile insurer in Alabama. The company’s rate decision will save drivers a total of $10.2 million.
Since 2005, State Farm says its auto rates have dropped by nearly 16 percent.
