A Tennessee man is suing a Mississippi casino because he claims the slot machine he was playing broke apart and injured his arm and back.
Randy E. Perkins of Hickman County, Tenn., said he was injured at Tunica Roadhouse Casino and Hotel on Aug. 12, 2010. His lawsuit, filed in federal court in north Mississippi, seeks $750,000 in damages.
Perkins claims the front of the machine fell on him, causing “possible nerve damage in his left arm and a bulging disc in his lumbar spine.”
Perkins says he was unemployed at the time due to another injury, but that his new injury prevented him from getting a job at a food plant in Louisiana.
Valerie Morris, a casino spokeswoman, said the company does not generally comment on litigation.
