The Arkansas Forestry Commission says crews suppressed six wildfires that have burned 17 acres since Thursday afternoon.
Officials said Friday that crews have responded to 102 fires that have burned 1,054 acres since Aug. 1.
There were no reports of injuries with the latest fires.
With temperatures continuing to approach or surpass 100 degrees, the commission has discouraged outdoor burning. Officials say the wildfire danger is moderate to high for the entire state.
According to the forestry agency, county judges have issued burn bans in Ashley, Chicot, Columbia, Conway, Dallas, Fulton, Garland, Hempstead, Howard, Hot Spring, Jefferson, Johnson, Lafayette, Lincoln, Monroe, Nevada, Ouachita, Phillips, Pike, Polk, Pope, Pulaski, Prairie, Saline, Searcy, Sharp, St. Francis, Van Buren and White counties.
