The Tennessee Department of Safety is opening a new driver service center for reinstatement assistance in Memphis’ Shelby County on Monday.
The center at 2516 Mt. Moriah Road is for the reinstatement of driving privileges; no driver licenses will be issued from this site.
According to the Tennessee Department of Safety, driver license suspensions, revocations or cancellations are often the result of a failure to pay court fees or neglecting to appear in court on a traffic or insurance violation. Fines and costs for tickets must be paid to the court of record in the city or county where the citations were issued.
