A company spokeswoman says no one was injured when shots were fired into the 10th and 11th floors of health and disability insurer Aflac’s tower in Columbus, Georgia.
Laura Kane said two shots, coming from the east side, struck about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday but neither penetrated the double pane glass.
Kane said Columbus police were called to the scene and are investigating. Police Lt. Richard Gaines said Tuesday night detectives had not yet located a suspect.
Aflac workers were allowed to leave early and those who did were escorted to their cars by security.
