Kentucky Office of Workers’ Claims Receives New Director

Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear appointed Dwight T. Lovan as Executive Director of the Office of Workers’ Claims.

Lovan, 57, previously worked as an attorney for Jones, Walters, Turner & Shelton in Owensboro, Ky.

Active in the community, Lovan is a member of the Daviess County Public Schools Foundation Board, Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Education Association Board, Kids Chance of Kentucky Board of Directors, Kentucky Bar Association and the Daviess County Bar Association.

The Office of Workers’ Claims is administered by an executive director appointed by the governor. The governor selects the executive director from a list of three names submitted by the Workers’ Compensation Nominating Commission.
