Two wings of Ninety Six, S.C., High School have been closed after architects said they were worried about the safety of the roof.
School district superintendent Dan Powell says the school was to close Thursday so officials can prepare to have classes in the gymnasium and possibly the cafeteria.
Powell says the district plans to consult a structural engineer to see what to do next. He says repairs could be simple, or it could take a year-and-a-half to fix the roof.
In the meantime, students will have to avoid the wings which include the school’s main hallways.
