North Carolina officials arrested a Wilson, N.C., woman and charged her with three counts of obtaining property by false pretense, according to Insurance Commissioner Jim Long.
Dorothy Faye Joyner, 58, was processed at the Wilson County Detention Center and received a $7,500 bond.
The charges stem from allegations that Joyner received mileage reimbursement payments pursuant to a workers compensation claim. The mileage reimbursement was allegedly made for trips to therapy sessions that Joyner had canceled. Joyner allegedly received nearly $3,000 from her insurance company.
