The Independent Insurance Agents of Dade County will sponsor a three-hour continuing education course on “The Reality of Flood Insurance,” May 17 at the Sheraton Miami Mart Hotel in Miami.
Instructor Shawn Tinsley will cover the National Flood Insurance Program, lender requirements, federal agency reviews, the standard application, the preferred risk policy, residential condominium building association policies, claims and claims filing, elevation certificates, cancellations and repetitive loss filings.
According to IIADC, these topics will enhance the knowledge of the agent and be of assistance in writing flood policies.
