A series of six legislative meetings attended by 30 legislators and 102 agents were held this fall by the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia in Augusta, Macon, Savannah. Marietta, Gwinnett County and Valdosta.
IIAG’s legislative program was presented by Gould Hagler, executive director and several of the events were also attended by executive committee members.
“We find that it is best to have these events back home, away from the pressures of the Capitol during the session,” Hagler explained. “We make sure to get legislators together with the agents that count the most, the ones who live and vote in their districts.”
The will sponsor six legislative meetings in the spring. The fall meetings were hosted by Will Weston, Blanchard & Calhoun, Augusta; Dan Tidwell, Tidwell-Chandler Insurance Agency, Macon; Jackson Sherrill, Sherrill & Co., Savannah; Jerry Hobbs, The Insurance Store Inc., Marietta; and Gerard Wichalonis, The Wichalonis Agency, Cumming.
