Georgia residents with insurance problems or questions have been offered direct assistance from Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine’s office by contacting Insurance investigator visiting various Georgia communities.
March 30, an investigator representing the commission will be at the Cedartown, Ga. Courthouse from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Anyone planning to attend can confirm the investigator’s schedule by calling (770) 749-2100.
Representative’s visits to various communities is to provide consumers with assistance for insurance problems or other insurance-related questions. At the same time, Oxendine’s office also offers complimentary homeowner, automobile and life insurance policy reviews.
A Department of Insurance spokesperson said this service is designed to provide participants with information they should know before purchasing insurance and how to avoid common mistakes. Since 1995, $80 million has been recovered on behalf of Georgia citizens who contacted the office.
