Property/casualty insurance companies in Louisiana, including those that write private and/or excess flood coverage, as well as surplus lines insurers, have been directed to report claims data arising from Hurricane Delta to the state insurance department.
It is the second hurricane claims data call issued by the Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) this year. The LDI previously issued a data call for claims information stemming from Hurricane Laura.
The department is asking for Hurricane Delta claims data for Louisiana policies; non-catastrophe claims need not be reported.
The first report is due Friday, November 27, 2020. For claims reported as of Friday, November 20, 2020.
