Louisiana-based Excalibur Insurance Co. is now officially named Lighthouse Excalibur Insurance Co., following its acquisition by Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp.
The name change was unveiled on Nov. 1.
In May, Lighthouse Property Insurance acquired Excalibur, a property insurer with approximately $20 million of mostly homeowners’ premium throughout Southern Louisiana. At the time of the acquisition, it was expected that it would take several months for the integration of the two companies to be complete.
Lighthouse Excalibur Insurance Co. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp. and will provide new product offerings to Louisiana homeowners.
Established in 2008, Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp. is an admitted property/casualty insurance company authorized to write in Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.
Along with the name change, Lighthouse Excalibur has a new website, www.lexcalins.com.
