Nashville, Tenn.-based Velocity Risk Underwriters announced it is offering coastal wind-only homeowners insurance policies for customers that may otherwise be insured in the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA).
Velocity’s homeowners program is rated “A” by A.M. Best. The company is partnering with Texas-based State National Insurance Co. to provide the coverage.
Velocity currently insures coastal homeowners customers in the states of Connecticut and Florida, and writes commercial lines products in all 50 states. Velocity writes through independent agents and is currently contracting new partners in Texas.
