Risk Settlements has added Steven Schienvar as a managing director in Dallas.

Schienvar previously spent 13 years at ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ in various positions including president of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s assumed reinsurance division (ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Re), and executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief risk officer at ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Risk Finance, an alternative solutions insurance group.

Risk Settlements specializes in class action settlements and offers a post-loss class action settlement insurance product (CASI), which transfers all the volatility associated with claims payments to a global A-rated insurer, according to the company’s announcement.

As of July 1, 2015, Risk Settlements has provided risk transfer for over $70M in class action settlement liability.
