No injuries or damage were reported after a series of earthquakes rattled central Oklahoma overnight, including a 4.1-magnitude temblor that woke many residents near Guthrie.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded four earthquakes near Perry late on April 9 and early April 10, and two more earthquakes near Guthrie early Thursday.
The largest of the quakes had a preliminary magnitude of 4.1 and was centered 6 miles south-southwest of Guthrie. It struck shortly after 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Another quake – this time with a 3.7 magnitude – was reported shortly after 3 a.m. in the same area.
A series of earthquakes also hit Perry between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday. The largest of the quakes had a preliminary magnitude of 3.3 and was centered 11 miles northeast of Perry.
