announced is has hired Amy Schornick as vice president of network operations for its North Texas and Oklahoma markets. Schornick brings extensive contracting, provider relations and consultative experience to the position.
“I am pleased to have Amy join our leadership team,” said David Toomey, president and general manager for CIGNA HealthCare of Texas. “Her background and knowledge of the health care marketplace and strong relationships with area providers will enable us to work more closely with physicians and hospitals to develop sustainable health care system solutions that will improve the health and well-being of our customers and members.”
Most recently, Schornick served as the director of contracting for Texas Health Resources, leading managed care contracting and strategy and reengineering operations to improve efficiencies for one of the largest health care systems in the country. Her background also includes leadership positions with Theraphysics, Columbia/HCA and tenure with Anthem Health.
