, based in Dallas, reported that Rod Newcomer has joined the firm as vice president and chief financial officer.
Newcomer will direct MarketScout’s expanding finance and accounting operations and manage the newly formed Premium Finance Division. Additionally, he will work directly with MarketScout’s executive team in managing the distribution of products across the United States.
Newcomer has significant experience in managing the accounting and operational functions for insurance companies and most recently served as controller for XL Insurance America Inc.
According to Richard Kerr, chairman and CEO of MarketScout, “Rod is bringing skill sets which will help us grow to the next level. His extensive insurance company and management experience will enable us to expand the services we offer our agents. Our intent is to become a single source solution for the needs of our 50,000 users. To do so, we must expand our product portfolio.”
MarketScout underwrites and/or administers marketing plans on behalf of its “Best of Class” insurance companies. Over thirty major insurance companies have adopted the MarketScout model.
