Kyle Stevens, vice president and branch manager of the Dallas branch office of Western Security Surplus Insurance Brokers, announced that Debra Smith has joined the company as a production underwriter.
Stevens noted that Smith a solid background in the industry. She began her career in 1986 at GAINSCO and remained there for 11 years. Making the move to the MGA side was her next choice, and she has remained in the MGA/wholesale industry since. Responsible for production and underwriting of new business for property, products liability, general liability, inland marine, professional liability, directors and officers, employment practices liability, excess/umbrella and more, she will work directly with Stevens.
Smith explained, “I was attracted to WSS because of its ability to produce the markets I feel are necessary in today’s competitive environment.”
“We’ve enjoyed a great deal of success in the past year, and adding Debra to our team will surely enhance our growth and push us closer to our goals in serving the agents of Texas,” Stevens said.
