The Austin Association of Insurance Professionals (AAIP), formerly known as Insurance Women of Austin, Texas, elected and installed Kathy Van Eeten, Crump Insurance Services, as its president for 2002/2003.
Other officers installed at the meeting included: first vice president – Kendra Snead, Independent Insurance Agents of Texas; second vice president – Terah Casey, Specialty Insurance Managers Inc.; recording secretary – Anita Herzog, Tejas American General Agency; corresponding secretary – Julie Arsuaga, PLUS Inc.; and treasurer – Marie Misfeldt Specialty Insurance Managers Inc.
Van Eeten is the marketing specialist for Crump and has 25 years of experience in insurance marketing and management and is a certified insurance counselor (CIC) and a certified risk manager (CRM). In addition to her installation as president, Van Eeten also received the AAIP Professional of the Year award.
AAIP also announced that the group raised over $12,000 at their 15th annual golf tournament in May. Part of the proceeds were used to fund three $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in the Central Texas area.
