Global insurance broker Lockton reports that three transaction liability advisors from Aon — Joshua Halpern, Gaurav Sud and Eric Ziff — have joined the firm to lead its mergers and acquisition (M&A) consulting offering.
The company said these three professionals will bolster Lockton’s advisory and brokerage capabilities in connection with the placement of representations and warranties insurance, tax liability insurance, and other contingent liability insurance solutions.
Halpern, Sud and Ziff join Lockton from Aon, where they served as senior managing directors and members of the leadership group within the North American transaction liability team. They bring more than 40 years of collective experience as both corporate attorneys and representations and warranties insurance brokers, specializing in private equity and corporate acquisitions.
Prior to joining Aon in 2014, Halpern was with the New York law firms of Wilkie Farr & Gallagher and before that, Dewy & LeBouef.
Sud, who also joined Aon in 2014, was previously with the New York law firms of Shearman & Stealing and Wachtell, Lipton, Rose & Katz.
Before he joined Aon in 2014, Ziff was with the law firms of Davis & Gilbert and before that, Wilkie Farr & Gallagher, both in New York.
Peter Clune, Lockton CEO, said the transaction liability insurance market has “evolved to a level of sophistication and complexity where trusted advice from experienced M&A professionals has never been more critical.”
