Kurt Hines has joined insurer Everest Insurance as vice president of Underwriting in the Specialty Insurance Group, which offers coverages for the sports, leisure and entertainment industries. In this role, Hines will be responsible for overseeing all underwriting activities for this business.
Prior to joining Everest, Hines was the president of Aslan Risk Advisors in Philadelphia, a consulting practice he founded to serve the property/casualty insurance and risk management industries. Previously, he was with Philadelphia Insurance Companies as senior vice president of Underwriting related to the Sports & Recreation and Public Services divisions. Hines also spent 17 years at Zurich North America, after getting his start in the industry at the St. Paul Companies as an actuary.
