Fresh off its announcement of Google becoming a minority investor, insurance agency technology provider Applied Systems announced it has acquired Dynamis Software Corp., a Milwaukee-based provider of employee benefits software.
This acquisition expands Applied System’s employee benefits offerings. The firm said it is committed to making further investments in the employee benefits market.
Dynamis was founded in Milwaukee by insurance brokers who were frustrated with using traditional spreadsheet-based models, static reports and three-ring binders when trying to present group benefit plan options to employers. The Dynamis Dynamic Plan Designer is a collaborative and interactive tool brokers can use wth clients to compare benefit plans and costs.
Independent insurance agencies using Applied Epic management system will enjoy enhanced integration between Dynamis’ product and the management system.
“As the insurance industry enters the digital age, we recognize an opportunity with Applied for our customers to benefit from greater technical resources and support services,” said Andy Nunemaker, chief executive officer, Dynamis.
