The Navigators Group, Inc. and Protective Insurance have agreed to an underwriting partnership offering Protective’s workers’ compensation coverage to Navigators’ insureds.
Navigators said the partnership supports its continued expansion of multiline insurance policies that bundle together coverages for a range of liability exposures.
Navigators’ portfolio of industry-specific multiline products will now include workers’ compensation as an option. Navigators’ multiline policies are currently available for the media, arts and entertainment, life sciences, allied health care, technology and manufacturing industries.
Vincent C. Tizzio, president, U.S. Insurance for Navigators, said the approach of bundling coverages for multiline clients helps “remove the complexity of placing and structuring multiple lines of insurance with various carriers.”
The industries Navigators serve include maritime, construction, energy, environmental, professional services and life sciences. Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, Navigators has offices in the U.S., the United Kingdom, continental Europe and Asia.
Carmel, Indiana-based Protective Insurance provides liability and workers’ compensation coverage for trucking and public transportation fleets, along with trucking industry independent contractors. Additionally, Protective Insurance offers workers’ compensation coverage for a variety of industries. Its underwriting companies include Sagamore Insurance Co. and Protective Specialty Insurance Co.
