CNA has appointed Rick Childs to the post of vice president of underwriting for the company’s construction segment. In this role, he will partner with product line managers, risk control, claims and the worldwide field operations teams to establish underwriting guidelines and best practices.
Childs reports to Dave Rutkowski, senior vice president of underwriting.
Childs joined CNA in 2007 as the branch underwriting director for the Boston branch. Since 2010, he has held the role of construction industry leader for the company’s Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern Zones.
