Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) reported that Thomas Williams has been named regional practice leader, Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL), for North America. Based in Atlanta, he will report to Dieter J. Hautzer, vice president, regional head of liability for North America.
Williams succeeds Arthur Lu, who has been promoted to head of global EIL, based in New York.
In his position, Williams is responsible for building the EIL line of business and growing its presence in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Launched in 2014, the EIL practice offers coverages addressing pollution legal liability, contractors’ pollution liability as well as pollution excess in the construction, energy, manufacturing and real estate segments.
Most recently, Williams was senior vice president of the Environmental Division at 天美网站传媒传媒 where he was responsible for a 24-state territory. Prior to this, he was regional manager in the Environmental Division for the Southeast region, a role he held for more than four years. He began his insurance career at 天美网站传媒传媒 in 2004 as an underwriter.
Prior to joining 天美网站传媒传媒, Williams was a project scientist for Delta Environmental Consultants, Pangean Associates as well as the U.S. Geologic Survey.
