Industry veteran Bob Courtemanche, until recently chairman of Ace Private Risk Services, has joined Risk Strategies Co., the Boston-based insurance and risk management advisor said.
Courtemanche has been named senior managing director and practice leader nationally for its Risk Strategies’ Private Client group. He will focus exclusively on building out a national practice across Risk Strategies’ U.S. offices.
Risk Strategies recently announced a significant investment by new majority owner Kelso & Co. to grow nationally.
An insurance industry veteran with 30 years of experience focused primarily on the private client insurance space, Courtemanche has held leadership positions with several global carriers in addition to ACE Group, including Fireman’s Fund, ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ and Chubb.
A founding board member of the Private Risk Management Association, Courtemanche joins Risk Strategies after most recently serving as chairman of ACE Private Risk Services since 2013. He where he was responsible for directing the overall growth and profitability of that group, which he joined in 2008 as CEO from Fireman’s Fund.
