The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments over Obamacare’s tax subsidies yesterday. The justices appeared divided along ideological grounds, with observers citing Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Anthony Kennedy as the justice most likely to decide the fate of the healthcare law.
Chief Justice John Roberts gave little hint of his thinking, asking only a few questions.
Justice Anthony Kennedy asked a lot of questions and suggested the challenge to the tax subsidies may face a “serious constitutional problem.”
Below is the transcript of the arguments before the nation’s highest court.
