ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Names Schreiber, Gender to Financial Positions

American International Group, Inc. (ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½) has named Brian T. Schreiber as executive vice president, Treasury and Capital Markets, and Robert Gender as senior vice president and treasurer.

Schreiber is taking on a broad, newly created role in which he will oversee ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s Treasury function; the development of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Markets, which will manage ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s parent company invested assets and debt obligations in partnership with ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s Asset Management Group; Strategic Planning; and Investor Relations.

Schreiber, who as head of Strategic Planning has led ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s restructuring and corporate development efforts to date, will report to David Herzog, ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Gender, who will report to Schreiber, has served as ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s Treasurer since 2005. He joined ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ in 1998 as assistant treasurer with responsibility for the management of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s banking relations, liquidity, and corporate finance

Schreiber joined ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ in 1997 as a portfolio manager in ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s Global Investment Group. Since then, he held several positions of increasing responsibility before being named ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ vice president, Strategic Planning, in 2002 and senior vice president in 2003.
