The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. has named Christopher Swift as chief financial officer and executive vice president.
Swift most recently served as vice chairman and CFO of American Life Insurance Co., and has experience in both the life and P/C insurance industry.
At American Life, an operating company of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½, Swift oversaw the unit’s global financial operations, including financial strategy and reporting, capital management, investments, risk management, treasury, product development and rating agency relationships, among others. He also served as CFO of Global Life Insurance and Retirement Services of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½, CFO of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ American General Life Cos. and head of Annuity Operations. He has also held positions with Conning Asset Management, KPMG
The Hartford’s current CFO, Lizabeth Zlatkus will assume the position of chief risk officer on March 1.
