ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ has named Russell Johnston as president and CEO of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Environmental, a unit of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Commercial Insurance. Johnston assumes management responsibility for ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Environmental from Joseph Boren, who has left the company to join Ironshore.
Johnston will report to John Q. Doyle, president and CEO of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Commercial Insurance.
In addition, Kimberly Hanna has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Environmental. Hanna will report to Johnston.
Johnston has 20 years of underwriting and management experience in the property/casualty industry. He joined ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ in 1990 serving in senior management positions within ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s Risk Management Group, including president of National Accounts, president of Domestic Risk Management and most recently as president of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Risk Management.
Hanna joined ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s Canadian operations in 1996. In 2000, she became a product line manager for ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Environmental, and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the environmental unit, including her most recent position as senior vice president and chief underwriting officer.
