Los Angeles-based Heritage General Agency’s personal lines facility has added a new admitted market for homeowner coverage.
Program features include full cost replacement for both the home and personal property with no deduction for depreciation. Other covered structures include unattached garages, fences and storage sheds. Deductibles of $10,000 or less are waived when loss exceeds $50,000 (underwriting approval); however, special deductibles such as Florida’s hurricane deductible may apply. In the event of increased construction costs as a result of building, zoning or land use code changes, coverage is available. Some of the other features include coverage for identity fraud expenses, kidnap and ransom expenses, business property on residence and away from insured premises and personal injury.
The program is available in Arizona, Alaska, California (with the exclusion of Los Angeles county), Connecticut, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
