“You have an opportunity to make magic everyday,” Rob Morton, facilitator and content specialist with the Disney Institute, a part of the Disney Event Group, told attendees at the 19th annual ASCnet TENCon Technology, Education and Networking Conference at the Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Fla. He urged insurance businesspeople not to take the meaningfulness of a magical interaction with your customers for granted.

In a lively and often humorous presentation, Morton linked Disney marketing and promotion techniques to ways he thought insurance agencies could promote business with their policyholders and encourage repeat business.
Incoming ASCnet President Robby Dunn took over for Stuart Durland, outgoing president. A technical presentation followed during which James P. Kellner, Applied Systems chairman described the TAM and Vision product innovations. An in-depth description of TAM was presented by Tracy Ustinov, agency manager; Dave DeGroot, product manager, described recent Vision enhancements and predicted new product upgrades during the next 12 months.
The TENcon Exchange and ASCnet and Applied Systems general sessions will continue Friday and Saturday with dozens of topics each few hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
