U.S. Risk Insurance Group appointed John Keane as executive vice president of U.S. Risk Underwriters, Inc.
Keane will be involved in many strategic and operational aspects of the company, including day to day underwriting activities, new business development, new product and program development, market relations, producer relations and corporate planning.
Keane comes to U.S. Risk from Kempes, Inc. where he served as a senior vice president in their Scottsdale office from 1998 to 2003, where he ran their professional liability department.
Prior to his tenure at Kempes, he was senior vice president of Gulf Underwriters Insurance Company as well as TIG Excess & Surplus Lines, Inc. Prior to this he spent eight years at General Reinsurance Corp where he handled a variety of E&O, D&O, and EPLI related products in their New York, Philadelphia, and Stamford offices. Keane began his insurance career in 1986 at Aetna Life & Casualty as a casualty underwriter in Boston.
