Kevin Callahan has joined the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) communications department as the new manager of consumer media. Callahan is replacing Kevin Craiglow, who will leave the association Oct. 1.
Callahan will manage the association’s media outreach efforts and assist with the implementation of the new independent agent-marketing brand, Trusted ChoiceSM. His previous positions include deputy press secretary to former Sen. Alfonse D’Amato (R-N.Y.), sports reporter at The Washington Post, and editor/producer for America Online. Most recently, Callahan was the director of communications at the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors.
